Construction of a Detached House in Grange Road, Highgate

Project Description

Client
Construction of a Detached House in Grange Road, Highgate

This project was the construction of a four storey house in traditional Flemish bond with Weather Struck Pointing and cavity with blockwork inner wall.

This project was a challenging project in many ways as there was an existing facade that had to remain and this was held in place by steel girders which had to be removed as the construction progressed . We also had the familiar problem of matching new brickwork with existing.the site was also very limited for space so we had to have careful coordination when ordering materials for site.

We also found it difficult to purchase new bricks to match the existing but we found that London reclaim bricks helped to get a good match in the end.

This project proved to be a very successful project for us and we have had a glowing commendation from KSR Architects who were involved in the project and also the client who is particularly happy with the brickwork.
